One of these Sunday afternoons in which we had nothing to do, we have spent at home looking at photo albums. My daughter loves to see herself as a child, and even more so that I tell her the little things she did, she said, even the little tricks she did. Looking at her little face, so eager to know, this article about the 10 great wishes of my daughter, do they coincide with the illusions of your children?
Have you ever stopped to think about what really matters to children? I think that children's wishes are very similar and much simpler than we imagine. We worry about whether they eat, if they did their homework, with the bedtime, with whether they brushed their teeth ... We are giving them "orders" every day, and many times we forget to ask them what really resides in their hearts? Or what are your true illusions?
Well, here you have a list of the 10 great wishes of my daughter, do they coincide with those of your children?
1- "Can I sleep with you?" Allowing her to sleep in bed with Mom when she was "sick"
2- Read a story, every night, in bed, before going to sleep. Then comment on it.
3- Watch a movie with her, and repeat over and over ("Once") her favorite scene.
4- See the photos of when she was a baby, a thousand times! And tell her, over and over again, the story of when she was born.
5- Go to the park with her and spend almost an hour pushing her on the swing. It gave him the feeling of 'fly and fly'.
6- Do a tickling session, pillow fight, or cartwheel. To laugh a lot.
7- Give him lots of strong hugs and "butterfly" kisses (moving the eyelashes over his face).
8- Tell him "you are my life, you are my love". That made her feel very important.
9- Discipline. Children love knowing what we expect of them and that we guide them safely.
10- Cook, put the table together and draw faces with the food on your plate.
My daughter also had many demands on her father. One of the ones I remember the most was going home sitting on Daddy's shoulders after a long walk, or having him do a theater session with his puppets ...
And your son or daughter, tell me, what are their great wishes?
